The Eastern Sierra is a special place to me and one I am grateful for as it's full of childhood memories with my brother and grandparents. It's also a place I credit as being my Milky Way training grounds. This is a shot I desired for some time and was constantly on my mind. As usual, this was a cold evening under clear skies early in the morning. I drove up the night before, slept in my car, and set my alarm for 2 am. Once I awoke, I set up my camera and captured the Milky Way over the Seria Mountains just outside of Bishop.
