This is one of the most challenging photos I've ever shot, requiring meticulous planning to align the arch with the temple under clear skies. The journey involved a nearly 2-hour drive across rugged dirt roads in Capitol Reef National Park, a place I had not been to before. Despite the cold and the distance from my hotel, arriving early paid off. It gave me ample time to scout the shot and soak in the stars. As the arch slowly rose from the horizon around 3 am, my excitement grew, making the challenge worthwhile.
