This was a special treat as the Northern Lights we strong enough to be seen in Colorado. This is the first time I've seen what I would call a true sighting where the colored bands are visible to the naked eye. When I first spotted it, I was driving back from town and noticed a vivid red reflection across my windshield, and thought to myself, "Wow, the brake lights of the car in front of me are sure bright".
